As a Housing Support Worker within our Scarborough Young People's Pathway, you'll play a vital role in supporting young people aged 18-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to develop the skills, confidence and resilience they need to move forward in life.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll provide tailored support to young people living in hostel accommodation and dispersed properties, helping them work towards their goals and successfully transition into independent living. You'll be there through both the challenges and achievements, offering practical guidance, encouragement and professional support every step of the way.
Working in a trauma-informed way, you'll build positive relationships, manage a caseload of clients, carry out support and risk assessments, and work closely with partner agencies to ensure young people receive the help they need to thrive.

- Have experience supporting vulnerable young people, building positive relationships, and helping them navigate challenges while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Be an effective communicator, confident working with young people, colleagues, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Be organised and proactive, with experience managing a caseload, developing person-centred support plans, and maintaining accurate records.
- Understand safeguarding responsibilities, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and hold a valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes.
